March 25, 2016
This is a reminder of an important change scheduled for April 11th, 2016. As of this date, the US-based toll-free IVR number will be retired. Contractors, however, will still be able to use our IVR system by calling our new direct number: (516) 500-7776. Even better, our GPS app is always available for your contractors -- it is free to download, easily accessible, secure, and ensures compliance.
Will there be any other changes in how our contractors use the IVR system?
Apart from the telephone number change, there will be no other changes in how your contractors use our IVR system.
Why is this changing?
ServiceChannel always strives to provide best-in-class products and services to our clients and the marketplace. As part of this effort, we continually evolve and focus our efforts and resources on the latest technologies, which also means that we have to retire old processes and systems. Keeping that in mind, ServiceChannel will retire the toll-free IVR but will continue to invest in and upgrade our GPS mobile app for service providers, which is the preferred method for check in/out.
Our contractors use a different number. Will this still affect me?
No. If they do not use our generic toll-free IVR number (800) 803-5394, there will be no change in any of your processes.
We have restricted IVR and our stores do not have long-distance capabilities. How can my contractors check in/out?
ServiceChannel’s GPS app is the solution. You can read more about it here.
Will this change affect my international stores and contractors?
No. This change is limited to our US-based toll-free IVR number. Any international toll-free numbers used for IVR will stay 100% operational.
I would like to offer my contractors the ability to use a custom toll-free number for my account. How do I go about doing this?
Please reach out to your Account Executive and he or she will be glad to assist.
