Retrieving a Forgotten User ID or Password for the Dashboard

    Sometimes a User ID or Password is forgotten. If this happens, you may retrieve your credentials through the Service Automation login page.

    Note: For users who login to Service Automation through a corporate portal, check with your IT department if you forget your internal password.

    Retrieval differs depending on your role:

    • Subscribers: This role places services requests or manages facilities. Also called clients.
    • Service Providers: This role performs services or provides parts for locations. Also called contractors or vendors.

    Retrieving a Forgotten Password

    How to Retrieve Subscriber User ID or Password information:

    Note: A subscriber can only retrieve a password, not reset (or change) a password. To reset your password, please contact your internal ServiceChannel administrator.
    1. On the login page, click Forgot User ID or Password? Click here.
    2. Select I’m a Subscriber, and then click Next.
    3. Based on your need, follow one of the below criteria (either a or b):
      1. To retrieve your Password: enter only your User ID, and then click Submit.
      2. To retrieve your User ID: enter only your email address, and then click Submit.

    A confirmation message appears, and further instructions are sent to the email address associated with your login.

    How to Reset Provider User ID or Password information:

    1. On the login page, click Forgot User ID or Password? Click here.
    2. Select I’m a Provider, and then click Next.
    3. Based on your need, follow one of the below criteria (either a or b):
      1. To retrieve your User ID:
        • Select I forgot my User ID, and then click Next.
        • In the dialog box, enter both your Tax ID and your email address, and then click Submit.
      2. To reset your Password:
        • Select I know my User ID and I need my password reset, and then click Next.
        • In the dialog box, enter your User ID, enter a new password, enter the password again to confirm the password, and enter your email address.
        • Click Submit.
    4. A confirmation message appears, and further instructions are sent to the email address associated with your login.

    Further assistance

    The email you receive will have a built-in link to ServiceChannel Support. Replying to the email will open a ticket in the support system, and a ServiceChannel Support team member will contact and further assist you.
