Using Your Email to Manage Work Orders

    You may perform the below actions on work orders through your email:

    Adding Notes to a Work Order Through Email

    You may add a note to a work order by emailing your desired note to <tracking#>@wonote.servicechannel.net.

    For example, to add a note to a work order with tracking number 84226813, you need to send the note to the following email address: 84226813@wonote.servicechannel.net.

    Note: Please contact ServiceChannel to enable the option of adding notes through email.

    How to Add a Note to a Work Order by Email

    1. Compose a new email to send to <tracking#>@wonote.servicechannel.net.
    2. Place the tracking number of the work order in the Subject.
    3. Enter your note text in the email, and then send. The note is added to the work order.

    Adding Attachments to a Work Order through Email

    You may add single or multiple attachments to a work order by including the tracking number of the work order in the email subject and sending the email to attachments.servicechannel.net.

    How to Add an Attachment to a Work Order by Email

    1. Compose a new email to send to attachments.servicechannel.net.
    2. Place the tracking number of the work order in the Subject.
    3. Attach the attachment(s) to the email, and then send. The attachment(s) are added to the work order, and a new note appears.
    Note: The total email size should be less than 20 MB. Service Automation rejects emails over 20 MB, and any attachments are removed.
